Out-of-hours works to install street lights between Barry Drive-Cooyong & Rudd-Bunda intersections 8-19 October

Street light installation is required in the Northbourne Avenue median between Rudd - Bunda Streets and the Barry Drive-Cooyong Street intersections from Monday 8 October to Friday 19 October. Working hours will be between 8pm and 6am each night. 

Traffic Management and Detours:
There will be no change for traffic travelling northbound and southbound along Northbourne Avenue, however the following traffic changes will be in place:

  • No right-turn into Barry Drive and Rudd Street for Northbourne Avenue traffic travelling south
  • No right-turn into Bunda Street and Cooyong Street for Northbourne Avenue traffic travelling north
  • No right-turn onto Northbourne Avenue from Bunda Street, Cooyong Street, Rudd Street and Barry Drive
  • No through-traffic between Rudd and Bunda Streets and between Barry Drive and Cooyong Streets.

Additional Information:
The following equipment will be used: elevated working platform, excavator, trucks and light vehicles.


There will be increased noise levels due to the nature of this work. The project team will limit these noise impacts wherever possible by reducing the number of machines operating at the same time and turning off equipment when not in use. Non-tonal reversing beepers will be used* and workers have been instructed to keep noise to a minimum.
